Wheatley can be proud of its new hotel pictured on June 18, 1949, operated by Mr. and Mrs. D. C. White. The central portion is remodelled from an older building; the wings, sloping back in a shallow V-shape, are entirely modern. Each of the 12 rooms has an adjoining bath and the hotel incorporates many unique features which make it one of the most comfortable inns in the province. Pickerel and perch caught daily in Lake Erie provide the dining room with its speciality fish dinners.
