 First Special Service Forces Canadian Army veteran Ralph Mayville of Windsor, Ontario, recently "earned" his paratroopers wings followiing a parachute jump from 14,000 feet.  Mayville, 92, served with the elite "Black Devils" or First Special Service Forces, a joint U.S. and Canadian commando unit during WWII. Members of the First Special Service Forces were given wings (in photo, top wings medallion) though Mayville never parachuted because he volunteered to join the unit on short notice due to heavy casualties.
